Review for the Test!!!

I am feeling extra nice. I am going to give you each one 3x5 notecard. On it you will write whatever it is you need to know for the test next Tuesday!! You can only use what is on this card so write small!!! Do not lose it either!!! Here is what you should know:

What types of things change the earth’s surface? Volcanoes, earthquakes, floods, landslides, ice, wind, water, etc.

What are sedimentary rocks? How are fossil fuels created? What are fossil fuels? What do we use them for?

How are deltas, canyons, and dunes formed?  What are some examples? What is deposition?

Describe the use of alternative energy and why it is being used. Be able to describe and compare wind, solar, hydroelectric, geothermal, and biofuels.

Be able to describe fossil formation and what a fossil’s depth means.

Be able to describe what happens every 24 hours, 365 days, and 4 times a year. Also, include all the phases of the moon and their time frame.

The steps of the water cycle and the definitions of weather and climate. Be able to compare and contrast the two.

Why does the sun look like it is moving? Is it moving?

Be able to compare and contrast the physical properties of the sun, moon, and earth.

What is a warm front, cold front, high pressure, and low pressure? How are they used to predict weather?

What is the difference between revolution and rotation?

What can we do to prevent erosion?

What is a moon?
What is a star?
What is a planet?

What is the water cycle?
What is the carbon dioxide-oxygen cycle?
Who is the youngest teacher ever?
What is the rock cycle?
What is plate tectonics and what does it cause?
