Today we will begin our next project. We will be designing an experiment and carrying it out on a test tube of water that I will give you. You and your group will be expected to create a hypothesis of how to separate your liquid. Here are the steps:
1. Research mixtures and solutions
2. Create a hypothesis and get it okayed by me.
3. Design an experiment and get it okayed by me.
4. Perform your experiment, recording all procedures and measurements taken.
5. Analyze your data.
6. Create a conclusion and support it with your data.
7. Create an Imovie that reports your findings.
The driving question for the next week or so will be to figure out what a solution is and what a mixture is? How can you tell which is which?
